Terms of Service

By creating an account or otherwise using ChillSpark (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. ChillSpark is operated by the Augmented Human Lab at the National University of Singapore (“we”, “us”).

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, your parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@ahlab.org if you suspect unauthorized access. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful or harmful
• Attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service, its servers, or other users
• Access the Service through automated means other than the official mobile app
• Share your account credentials or impersonate another person or institution

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Learning content made available within ChillSpark is provided for personal, non-commercial educational use. You retain all rights to any content you submit (for example, onboarding responses or quiz answers); you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store and process that content only as needed to provide and improve the Service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

ChillSpark is an academic research product. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time without notice, and the Service may be shut down entirely if research funding or institutional support ends. Where data from the Service is used in academic publications, it will be anonymized and aggregated.

The Service depends on third-party providers (see the Privacy Policy). We are not responsible for outages or behavior of those providers.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. ChillSpark provides educational content for general informational purposes only; it is not professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the National University of Singapore nor the Augmented Human Lab will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the fees you paid us to use the Service in the 12 months before the claim (which, for a free service, is zero).

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. limitation of liability) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Singapore will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
